It seems that I have not seen much chatter related to the recent release of Oracle Data Provider version 12 c. I feel that it marks an important milestone in Oracle /.NET story. Finally Oracle has a provider version that is written in fully managed .NET code. What does this mean you ask? Most importantly, you can now bin deploy Oracle based .NET applications. I thinks this is a huge deal that greatly simplifies deployment story. On top of that, there is a schema comparison tooling built into Visual Studio and many other features. And finally, there is better Linq support with Entity Framework, proving support for Apply keyword. You can see full data sheet here.
Enjoy.
Unfortunately, still no Code First support.
